Satin Vintage Victorian Style Wedding Gown - size 6
This is an ivory colored satin gown that my mother wore in 1950, and then I remade the top part and added some lace to it to fit my sister in later years. It is displayed in most of the pictures on a dress form that is too large for it, thus I could not zip up the back completely on the dress form. I am pretty sure it is a size 6 or so, but am including measurements to help you decide for yourself whether it would fit or not.
Measurements:

Across the back, armpit to armpit is 16"
Across the front, armpit to armpit is 19" (the bust is approximately 35")
The waist is approximately 26"
Skirt front length, from the bottom of the waistline "v" to the hem is about 39"
Skirt back length/train from the bottom button at the waist to the hem is about 68"

If you need any other measurements, please let me know.
The original gown had long netting sleeves and netting that went all the way up to the neck, which I have removed and added a ruffle to create an off-the-shoulder style. The skinny little ribbons you see holding it up on the dress form, over the shoulder, are only there to keep the gown on the hanger and are not meant to be worn to be seen as part of the gown. The ruffle goes "off the shoulder" for that bare shoulder look.
I added a zipper to the back for convenience and eliminated the loops that would have gone around the buttons, but left the buttons on for that vintage look. The fabric is a quality heavy weight satin and does have occasional scuffs to the threads, but no holes or discolorations. This has been in storage for a while, so you may want to get it cleaned before you wear it, although I could not find any spots on it that needed to be removed. I was going to steam the gown for better pictures, but decided not to, as I was just going to have to put it back up by the loops in the back, again.
I made a two layered slip to wear under the gown that fastens with loops to buttons on the inside of the dress waist line. The inner slip layer is a cotton/poly blend and the outer layer is netting, to give the dress more body. The train fastens up with 3 little loops on the seams of the train that go over buttons that are concealed underneath the waistline lace ruffle. If you prefer, there is a wrist loop on the inside of the train that you can wear over your wrist for the reception, instead. This, however, does show the inside of the skirt, which is why we added the little loops and buttons to the outside in order to hook the train up.
Clear plastic zippered garment bag included. 24"x72" with 10"inch side gusset.
